LEENA

Leena St. Michael, E-RYT500Leena loves awakening life-time yogis by discovering ways simple ways for everyone to appreciate the practices and discover the profound benefits. Leena St. Michael fell in love with the power of “Namaste” while teaching in November 2013, which she named “NAMASTEmber”. The more she contemplated, the more she discovered opportunities to bless and honor all beings.

“So many ARE  seeking and doing good.  The Divine IS showing up in everyday life. We can live Thanksgiving Day every day; revealing natural enthusiasm for life in a tumultuous world when so many have given up to cynicism, resignation and even suicide.” – Leena

Leena has been studying spiritual counseling, natural health and conscious transformation since 1990.  She became a licensed Spiritual Practitioner of Religious Science at the Agape International Spiritual Center, then in Santa Monica, CA.

In 1998 she was ordained  an Interfaith Minister at the Presidio in San Francisco having graduated from the Interfaith Seminary of Santa Cruz.

She was selected to Stanford University Medical Center’s internationally renown Interfaith Chaplaincy Residency Program where she completed four units of Clinical Pastoral Education; qualifications for professional chaplaincy.

She completed Yoga Teacher Training 200/500 at Mount Madonna Center and has taught more than 4,800 hours of meditation and yoga classes since 2006. Leena painfully attempted her first yoga poses from a book of pictures of Swami Vishnudevananda when she was 11. She was a serial yoga class drop-out up until a happy accident led her to Mount Madonna Center.

Prior to 1995, she consulted in leadership development and organizational transformation for corporations, individuals, governmental and community organizations.

Leena loves awakening life-time yogis by discovering ways simple ways for everyone to appreciate the practices and discover the profound benefits.
